About Us
Beagle Brewing Co was formed in early 2021 after the usual rounds of approvals and licenses. We brew in a shed in our backyard, we sell at markets and are licensed to sell on premises as well (over the farm gate). Just contact us for pick-ups or deliveries (Vic Licence 32808080). We take cash or all cards (tap and go).
Please note we do not sell beer by the glass on our premises or at our markets (yet). We do not have food service facilities at our brewery. You are welcome to visit us to purchase beer by the six pack and we also deliver free in the South West Gippsland and Bass Coast regions. If you are too far out of our way a small delivery charge will apply. You may find us at future markets or festivals serving beer by the glass – we’ll let you know over the socials if we are doing this.
Our equipment consists of a customised stainless steel open top kettle, which serves as both mash tun and lauter tun. A locally built stainless steel basket with a drop bottom, holds the ingredients while they are mashed in the kettle. Once brewed and boiled, the “tea” is then transferred to our fermenter which also doubles as a bright tank (for adding the CO2 bubbles). After that the beer is transferred to kegs until it is carbonated enough to be bottled and sold.
We can offer kegs or bottles to restaurants or pubs but mostly you will find us at the Kongwak Market which is right next door to our brewery. You will also find us at occasional Saturday markets such as Coal Creek (second Saturday of every month).
Our head brewer has over 30 years experience in home brewing and Beagle Brewing has been selling commercially since February 2021.
